Day
1 - Arrive Dublin. Transfer by taxi to the five-star Shelbourne
Hotel to drop off your luggage before setting out to explore
Ireland's vibrant capital city. Relax in your hotel this afternoon
and prepare yourself for an evening out at one of Dublin's great

2 - A private consultation with the Shelbourne's very own
Genealogy Butler. A full assessment of your ancestral information,
a detailed map of Dublin repositories, and a brochure on Irish
genealogy will be provided. Spend the afternoon continuing your
research armed with the resources provided at your consultation.

3 - Meet your driver and enjoy a relaxing scenic drive with
your chauffeur. This sample itinerary takes you to Cork via
the Rock of Cashel, a historic site featuring ancient fortifications
including a cathedral, chapel, and castle, some of which date

4 - Spend today getting to know the area your family called
home. Perhaps visit local libraries, churches, or pubs to find

5 - All work and no play does not a vacation make. Local
points of interest include the legendary Blarney Castle where
those industrious enough may climb the 104 steps to kiss the
stone and gain "the gift of the gab"; the world famous
Blarney Woollen Mills; and quaint coastal towns with picture

6 - A leisurely day of touring the countryside may take
you through the historic town of Cobh. Known as the last port-of-call
for the Titanic, it was also the port of departure for many
Irish people during the Great Famine from 1844 to 1848. Many
Irish left their homeland hungry and penniless in search of
a better life in America. Overnight: Dunbrody House, Wexford

7 - The Dunbrody Emigrant Ship replicates the footsteps
of a group of Famine immigrants bound for New York in 1849,
a fascinating story for those interested in genealogy. As you
return to Dublin, a tour of the 6th century monastic ruins of
Glendalough completes your sightseeing for the day. Arrive in
Dublin in the late afternoon with time to explore the cities
many pubs and restaurant and ponder your ancestral findings.

8 -Following breakfast take a taxi transfer to Dublin Airport
for last minute shopping at the duty free before boarding your
return flight home. (B)
