Center, which traces the history of emigration from Ireland to the United States.
Time to walk around town and see where the ill-fated Titanic last set sail. Next
stop will be the world famous Blarney Castle. The Castle was built nearly six
hundred years ago by one of Ireland's greatest chieftains, Cormac MacCarthy. At
the top of the castle lies the Blarney Stone, the legendary Stone of Eloquence.
Kiss it and you'll never again be lost for words. There will be time also for
a short visit to the adjacent Blarney Woolen Mills, a favorite of shoppers. Overnight:

of buildings on the current site date from the 12th and 13th centuries. The picturesque
complex has a character of its own and is one of the most remarkable collections
of Celtic art and medieval architecture to be found anywhere in Europe. After
an audio/visual presentation there will be time to stroll the grounds on our own
and take some photographs of this stunning location. Arrive in Kilkenny in the
early afternoon. Check into your city center hotel. Time for independent exploration
or a quiet pint in one of Kilkenny's many fine pubs before dinner in your hotel.
